The Universal Declaration of Human Rights remains as relevant today as it was on the day in 1948 that it was proclaimed and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.  The extraordinary vision and resolve of the drafters produced a document that, for the first time, articulated the rights and freedoms to which every human being is equality and inalienable entitled.

Social Justice

As educators and citizens of the world Social Justice should be a concern to all of us. Social Justice is not being discriminated against on the basis of race, sex, ethnicity, religion, or sexual preference. It is fairness in trade, the working place and the world.  Social Justice demands speaking up and acting to stop injustices.
